Fish and other pond life (plants and beneficial bacteria) need oxygen
to live and remain healthy.
Aeration of the pond is particularly important in warm weather when
the water contains less oxygen.
During the night, oxygenating plants stop producing oxygen and start
consuming it.
Without a steady flow of fresh water containing oxygen, most ponds or lakes will
become stagnant, stratified (by temperature and oxygen levels) and unhealthy.
Our quiet, reliable and energy efficient pond aerators will provide maximum
aeration and water circulation at low cost.
On this page are several different diffused aeration kits.
Diffused aeration systems are the best way to aerate, de-stratify and create
circulation on ponds over 6 feet deep.
Each system has three basic parts:
- Air compressor
- Air hose
- Diffuser
The air compressor sits on shore and pumps air out through the hose to the air diffuser
located on the bottom of the pond.
The result is thousands of tiny bubbles rushing out of the diffuser to the pond surface,
creating circulation and providing aeration.
There are several advantages to using diffused aeration kits instead of a surface aerator:
- Electric motor is on shore, not in the water
- Air diffusers lay on the bottom, ensuring aeration of the entire pond
from bottom to top, regardless of depth
- Tubing lengths up to 2000 feet can be achieved
for ponds without electricity nearby

Quiet Line&trade Large Pond Aerators
The Quiet-Line Series Aerators from Keeton Industries are for deeper
ponds up to 5 acres in size.
100 to 300 feet of self-weighted tubing reaches out to the area
of your pond where the air diffuser should be positioned.
These aerators come complete with a locking fiberglass cabinet, ASTM
sound reduction foam, CFGC ground fault interrupter and digital timer.
Other features include industrial high flow cooling blower, brass regulator
valves, pressure relief valve, complete fittings package, check valves
and an installation and maintenance manual.
The PDKR1DPB has 100 feet of tubing and one diffuser.
The PDKR2DPB has 200 feet of tubing and two diffusers.
These units operate at 120 volts, 50 PSI and are rated at 1/3 HP.
- Extremely quiet
- Maximum depth of 40 feet
- Insulated and waterproof aerator cabinets
- Up to 5 acres
