Installing this 8 inch spring wound hose between the timer and the faucet will protect the timer and prolong its life. When moving a line it can pull on the faucet assembly and possibly break the timer where it connects to the faucet. The flexibility of the hose saver will give wiggle room and prevent damage to the timer.
