Blank drip tubing (tubing without emitters built in) is used throughout a drip irrigation project. The ½" and ¾" tubing are designed to have holes punched into them for drip emitters and transfer barbs, or be used to bring the water to the garden. It's inexpensive and made of soft polyethylene. Blank irrigation tubing can last 8 years or more when exposed to sunlight, longer if mulched over or buried. Garden pruners or poly cutters can be used to cut the tubing.
NOTE: A kink in mainline drip tubing is not a problem, it will not cause a weak spot and will disappear under pressure unless the line is bent too sharply (use an elbow to go around corners.)
